Hall Yacht Club, on the Chesapeake’s
picturesque Eastern Shore, will host the 2008 Opening Day Regatta
on Saturday May 10th 2008. Rock Hall is a great place to sail with
a lot of open water, very limited motor
boat chop, easy beach launching and plenty of grass on which to park
and rig. We greatly appreciate your attendance at our regatta. |

| Rules | Racing will be governed by rules as defined in 2005-2008 RRS. |
| Classes | Laser, Laser Radial, Windmill, Lightning and Jr. Laser Radial (note this is a CBYRA Jr. Radial High Point Qualifier for Jr. Laser Radial) |
| Format | Back to back races up to five races total. Courses will be windward/leeward with up to four legs. Worst score race will be excluded if four or more races are completed. Awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Laser, Windmill and Lightning; 1st Laser Radial and Jr. Laser Radial |
| Timing | Registration starting at 0830 hours |
| Skippers Meeting at 0930 hours | |
| Flag Raising Ceremony 1000 hours | |
| 1st race 1100 hours | |
| Off the water no later than 1630 hours. | |
| Refreshments | RHYC
offers a meal menu, should you wish to eat dinner or a late lunch
at the club all are welcome. (the meal cost is not included in the registration fee) |

| Registration | Registration is available online from the Events page at www.RockhallYC.org: NOTICE TO ALL SAILORS USING ON-LINE REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT, THE FOLLOWING THREE ISSUES ARE IMPORTANT WE THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THEM. The Rock Hall YC is currently using RegattaNet, an online regatta registration service provided by US Sailing. RegattaNet has the right to sell your information to other companies for Marketing purposes UNLESS YOU OPT OUT. 1.) Should you choose not to share your personal information, you may select this option using the online membership from www.ussailing.org/myussailing/myinfor.asp or you may send an email to that effect to membership@ussailing.org, and US Sailing will act on your request. 2.) Regatta Net’s identity certificate is invalid for Mozilla users. 3.)
RHYC is accepting credit card payment only for on line registration. IF YOU
DO NOT WISH OF USE A CREDIT CARD, please print, complete, and
sign the registration form found at the Events page at www.RockhallYC.org and
mail it along with your check to the RHYC at the address below.

| Directions | From Chestertown: Follow the signs to Route 20 towards Rock Hall. Continue on Route 20 until the town of Edesville. Make a left onto Edesville Road. Go straight on Edesville Road until the stop sign then merge left onto Route 288. Follow 288 left and stay left leaving 288 and entering McKinleyville Road. The club grounds will be on your right. |
